At Westport Federal Credit Union<\/a>, we require that you open the account with a minimum of $20 and after that, the amount in your checking is completely up to you! You can even bring it down to a $0 balance and you will not incur any low balance fees.<\/p>\n

Sometimes mistakes happen. If your account does go negative, an insufficient funds fee will be charged per item. To help ensure this doesn’t happen, we offer a free online banking<\/a> service and a mobile banking app.<\/p>\n
