Biodiversity Seekers
Help us collect info on the biodiversity of our properties so that we can steward land in a scientific, data-driven manner. Join small groups through the spring, summer, and fall to explore properties all over Orleans looking for and learning about the plants, animals, and insects inhabiting OCT lands.
Volunteer Land Steward Program
OCT stewards over 700 acres of land, and we can’t do it alone. Help maintain and protect the land and trails at our most visited properties. Volunteer Land Stewards are assigned a property and receive training and orientation from OCT staff on stewarding that property. Tell us what you see, what the land needs, and work directly with our stewardship team to manage and preserve the lands we protect.
Volunteer Workdays
Join us every first and third Thursday of the month from 9:30AM to 11:30AM at various OCT properties and take part in ongoing projects to help maintain and improve OCT properties and protect the habitats we steward. Help us remove invasive plant species, mark our property boundaries, maintain trails, or work on OCT’s Demonstration Pollinator Garden at our office! Joining an OCT Committee
Working regularly on specific areas of OCT’s mission and operations, and reporting back to the Board of Trustees, Committee service is a great way to learn about and get more deeply involved in the Trust’s work. Contact us using the form below to learn more about serving on one of these committees:
